Job Summary:
The Aircraft Conformity Specialist drives operational excellence in aircraft compliance by ensuring seamless integration of new aircraft into Jet Accesss Part 135 Certificate operations. This role combines technical expertise with regulatory knowledge to evaluate, research, and conform aircraft while maintaining meticulous records and coordinating with federal aviation authorities to uphold the highest safety and compliance standards.
Day in the Life:
As an Aircraft Conformity Specialist at Jet Access, youll ensure seamless aircraft integration into our Part 135 operations while maintaining the highest compliance standards. Heres what your role encompasses:
Aircraft Documentation & Records Management
- Review and verify return to service documentation for accuracy and conformity to applicable federal regulations, arranging corrections as necessary before filing in aircraft permanent records
- Conduct comprehensive records conformity research in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements
- Assemble detailed conformity data packages for FAA review and aircraft records in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all conformity processes, discrepancies, and resolution activities
Aircraft Physical Inspection & Compliance
- Travel to aircraft locations to perform thorough physical inspections in accordance with conformity inspection checklists
- Document any discrepancies identified during inspections and coordinate their correction with appropriate maintenance personnel
- Verify aircraft equipment and airworthiness requirements compliance, including RVSM capability verification and height monitoring systems
- Evaluate and correct return to service documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
Regulatory Coordination & Authority Interface
- Interface directly with FAA inspectors and other regulatory authorities as assigned, maintaining professional relationships and ensuring compliance
- Arrange for issuance of MEL, RVSM manuals, and any required operating specifications as assigned by management
- Coordinate FCC radio license issuance and ensure all communication equipment meets regulatory standards
- Stay current with evolving regulations and ensure conformity processes reflect latest requirements
Strategic Communication & Project Management
- Work directly with VP of Maintenance providing regular status updates on conformity processes and keeping leadership informed of any issues or roadblocks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and administrative personnel to ensure seamless aircraft integration
- Manage multiple aircraft conformity projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting critical deadlines
- Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Accesss continued growth and success

What will make you successful:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) Certificate required
- Associate degree in aviation maintenance or equivalent related technical training in aviation field
- Minimum 5 years experience with diversified jet, turboprop, or piston aircraft maintenance, preferably in QC, Conformity, or Aircraft Maintenance Manual roles
- Demonstrated knowledge of Part 135 air carrier aircraft conformity and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience with evaluation and correction of return to service documentation and airworthiness directive management
- Knowledge of major repair and alteration documentation, aircraft equipment requirements, and RVSM compliance procedures
- Valid state drivers license and ability to travel up to 25
- Must successfully pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance documentation requirements including logbook entries and certification requirements

Additional Qualities That Will Make You Successful:
- Inspection Authorization (IA) certification preferred
- Experience with web-based maintenance tracking programs (Camp, Cescom, Avtrak, CMP, Traxxall, Flightdocs)
- Proficiency with office software including Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Self-motivated individual capable of performing complex tasks with minimal supervision
- Professional communication skills and ability to interface effectively with team members, FAA personnel, and vendors
- Strong organizational abilities with capability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
- Flexible schedule availability and willingness to adapt to operational demands
- Previous experience in aviation regulatory environment or aircraft certification processes
- Knowledge of aircraft modification and STC processes
- Understanding of quality assurance principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Core Schedule:
- Days: Monday through Friday (In-Office)
- Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- On call or evening/weekend hours may be required for aircraft conformity projects and operational needs
- Limited travel may be required for onsite work at aircraft location
Compensation:
- Base Salary of $65,000 – $90,000 (annualized), depending on experience, paid bi-weekly.
