Role Summary & ImpactAs a Manufacturing Planner, you will support the development and execution of manufacturing plans that drive production efficiency and product quality for advanced aerospace and defense systems. Working with the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) program, you’ll help ensure that materials, processes, and build strategies are aligned to meet production and delivery goals.
Your work will directly contribute to improving manufacturing performance, supporting production rate increases, and enabling next-generation technology advancements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and work instructions
Support integration of suppliers, materials, processes, and technologies into production workflows
Review supplier data to ensure manufacturing requirements are met
Identify tooling needs and initiate tooling orders based on engineering requirements
Assist in tooling management and disposition processes
Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues of moderate scope
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering teams to evaluate producibility and optimize build flows
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Develop work statements and sequencing plans to meet delivery schedules
Maintain and monitor internal manufacturing documentation and compliance standards
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
This is a fully onsite role in Huntsville, AL, supporting 1st shift (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday) operations.
Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning or production support
Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and process documentation
Proven problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively under general supervision in a fast-paced environment
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent experience
Knowledge of Model-Based Design and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with MES systems (e.g., MESci) and MRP systems (e.g., CompassContract)
Familiarity with engineering data management tools such as Windchill or Siemens Teamcenter
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
Experience supporting aerospace or defense manufacturing programs

Pay Details: $38.00 to $42.00 per hour
