Position Summary

JOB PURPOSE

1. The SAP ERP Data Backfill Test Specialist to support our upcoming data backfill project. This position is essential in ensuring that accurate data is integrated into our SAP ERP system, maintain data integrity and operational efficiency.The SAP ERP Data Backfill Test Specialist will be responsible for performing comprehensive testing of data backfill processes within our SAP ERP system.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Testing Strategy Development: Collaborate with project stakeholders to define testing strategies, objectives, and criteria for successful data backfill.

2. Test Planning: Create and document test plans, including test cases, test scripts, and test data requirements for backfill cycles.

3. Execution of Test Cycles: Execute test cases and document results meticulously to ensure the integrity of data backfilled into SAP ERP.

4. Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify and log defects or discrepancies in data; work closely with data migration teams to ensure prompt resolution.

5. Data Validation: Conduct thorough validation of backfilled data against predefined criteria and business requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

6. Collaboration: Coordinate with data owners, business analysts, and IT teams to ensure alignment on data requirements and facilitate efficient testing processes.

7. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test results, defects, and testing processes to support audits and future testing efforts.

8. Reporting: Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders; recommend process improvements based on testing outcomes.

JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ERP data testing, data migration, or related roles.- SAP Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP ERP modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD) and understanding of data structures.- Testing Expertise: Strong experience in test planning, execution, and defect management in an ERP environment.- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, assess risks, and recommend solutions.- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.KEY COMPETENCIES

Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with data migration tools and methods in SAP.- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.- Relevant SAP certifications
