Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Industrial Engineering (IE) Manager to lead IEs across multiple sites including Colorado, California, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

Industrial Engineers operate in a fast-paced, agile, next-gen environment, and utilize the latest technology in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Discrete Event Simulation, Data Analytics, and Data Visualization Software to produce analysis’ and metrics which enable imperative business decisions.

This position will provide data-driven solutions that enable the production team to optimize their manufacturing schedules and costs. This position requires collaboration with all functional groups through the entire product lifecycle within a production environment. Candidate will have the opportunity to provide valuable solutions to multiple organizations and align program priorities.

The Industrial Engineering team is known for delivering breakthrough capabilities and process improvement that continually redefine space flight. This is a leadership opportunity where you will:
• Apply advanced Industrial Engineering concepts and techniques to analyze business processes and reduce waste.
• Interrogate data systems (SAP) and look for opportunities to surface problems and drive improvements.
• Provide oversite shop floor support, including methods of creating crew plans, burn down charts and performance metrics to optimize production.
• Oversee process improvement efforts, ensuring implementation and sustainment while demonstrating results.
•Lead the team to create effective value stream maps of all key processes and facilities
• Train & advocate with stakeholders and team members on Industrial and Operations Engineering principles.
• Optimize organizational structure, team communication and skill proficiencies to maintain a high performing team.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or higher education from an accredited college or equivalent experience
• Industrial Engineering rate production experience
• Experience leading teams and projects including the ability to align and motivate a team around common goals
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree in an Industrial Engineering or STEM related discipline
• Leadership experience. Proven ability to maintain a high performing team. Ability to manage and resolve conflict.
• Experience with SAP, Work measurement standards, work center management, Apriso, Process Simulator, Simio and Tableau.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly with Production Operations and Program Offices
• Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments
• Production Experience and/or New Production Program Experience
• Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience. Understanding of S-Curves, Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI)
• Ability to construct PowerPoint presentation material and brief to senior leadership effectively
• Experience developing, monitoring and/or reporting metrics related to cost and schedule performance
• Experience developing Estimate at Complete (EAC) Forecasts and/or Production demand/schedules and/or Resource Load Staffing Plans

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $111,700 - $196,880. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
