What Youll Get to DoReporting to the Stores Purchasing Manager, the Operational Procurement Specialist ensures all areas of the organization have adequate supply inventory and reconciles invoice discrepancies and shipment delays accordingly. Process Purchase Requisitions from authorized personnelReview stock levels to ensure continuity of supplies for operational requirementsMonitor inventory levels while ensuring inventory availability and accuracyProactively follow up on back orders, short shipments, or delayed shipmentsResolve quality, pricing, and delivery issues with suppliersContinuously work to optimize workflow, space utilization and labor productivity in distribution centerRecommend and implement purchasing process improvementsPerform cost analysis and cost reduction activitiesTimely and effective communication between suppliers and personnelProcess and receive products into an electronic purchasing program (Great Plains)Work with Accounts Payables to resolve any invoice discrepanciesShip supplies to internal basesProcess all corporate travel and vehicle bookingsConduct spanet research, to ensure prices are aligned with industry standardsOther duties as assignedSkills & Experience We Value Experience as a buyer, purchaser or related inventory role considered an assetPost-Secondary education considered an assetMinimum 2 years airline experience considered an assetSelf-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with all Microsoft related productsMust be able to obtain and maintain an enhanced security clearancePossess a valid driver’s license and own vehicleAbility to lift 50 lbsPreference given to Inuit Land Claims BeneficiariesInuktitut language considered an asset
