Job Title: Technician (Propellers)
Department: Operations
Location: Almondbank, Perth
We are looking for a Technician to work within the Propellers department who will report the Propellers Production Manager, to the Operations Manager for the maintenance of aircraft components allocated to the relevant platform/programme.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out strips/cleaning/inspections/builds and test of Hydraulic components effectively and efficiently iaw his or her trade, qualifications and authorisation only using current authorised procedures as laid down in the relevant approved source documentation.
- To comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
- To ensure the Health and Safety of all associates within the department, specifically ensuring compliance with all appropriate Health and Safety instructions, appropriate risk assessments are completed and adhered to, machinery, tools, display screen equipment, PPE and all other safety measures are demonstrably safe and their use risk assessed, and that all staff are aware of safe ways of working and that measures are reviewed in line with standards.
- Required to undertake work to highest level of competence.
- Contribute to team delivery of agreed targets and goals.
- Comply with Tool Control Procedures iaw relevant ABM procedures.
- Support a climate of continuous improvement to assist Productivity, Quality and create a leaner environment.
- Fully embrace all aspects of their performance with regards to Quality and, where necessary, implement corrective action to improve Quality standards.
- To achieve maximum flexibility team members will undertake training and train other team members. Also agree to carry out other duties within the team to support team output.
- Work within and promote the Behavioural Competences.
- Ensure that debris generated in their work area is removed/cleaned in a timely fashion.
- Mentor/train any Apprentices as and when necessary.
- May be trained in other duties including WRAM and LITS
- Ensuring that continuation training is up to date and that packs are read and signed for
- Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals
