Overview
The Global Procurement organization at United Airlines is responsible for procuring goods and services, and developing relationships with third-party providers with the objective of reducing total cost and risk to the Company while improving levels of quality, service, and technology.
The primary role of Manager – Global Procurement is to lead the procurement analytics team in India. This role will be responsible for executing organizational strategies and processes through data management, analytics and reporting. This role will work across different procurement categories and various business divisions.
Key Job Responsibilities
Develop and lead high performing analytics and supplier management teams with a focus on insights and process efficiencies
Design and execute meaningful metrics, high-quality dashboards and efficient processes for various procurement functions and categories as needed
Drive projects with a strategic data-driven approach and support stakeholders for any adhoc requests
Display knowledge of various procurements function and work with leaders to manage potential risks recommendations to mitigate them proactively
Provide relevant inputs to evolve United’s procurement strategy with an emphasis on data-driven decision making, automated processes and AI inclusion
Establish strong relationships with Procurement and other business leaders, and act as a strategic partner by proactively engaging, consulting, and influencing them on optimal tools and practices.
Provide guidance to the team and build relevant skills and capabilities, such as best-in-class analytics methodologies, and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or another relevant data or business related field
7+ of relevant analytics, procurement, finance, or consulting experience
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, data analytics, and systems
Strong organizational, presentation, analytical and communication skills
Successfully managed complex projects with multiple stakeholders with measurable results
Ability to work well in a high-paced cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
Experience leading teams preferred
Experience working in the airline or transportation industry preferred
Experience working in any relevant procurement categories such as Technology, Services, Technical Operations, etc. preferred
