Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace spanets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy spanets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables. We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.
Production Lead
Position Summary:
The Production Lead oversees the production area in a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company policy and safety procedures. Ensures an effective and accurate production line that minimizes costs and aligns with the unit objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules and monitors the production cycle, following company instructions
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Train and mentor manufacturing staff, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
- Monitor equipment and machinery for any malfunctions, arranging for maintenance or repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
- Enforce compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, including health and safety measures.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, making adjustments to processes or resources to meet production targets.
- Coordinates the efficient movement of production to meet area requirements
- Applies process specifications governing the production of product within an assigned cell, records production time and quantity data at the cell
- Performs complex precision assembly in accordance with written, visual and verbal instruction
- Conducts Inspections of own and /or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and /or customer drawing
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience in planning, scheduling and monitoring production cycles
- Capable of performing complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations
- Good organizational skills to lead activities of production cycle
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures
- Skilled problem-solver: Exercises judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent
- Able to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
Education & Experience:
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 3 - 5+ years of relevant experience

Competitive Compensation
Pay Range: $55,328 - $92,144 annually
