Position Summary

To manage end-to-end production activities (Engine & Mobile) value streams from planning and manpower allocation to execution and continuous improvement—ensuring that all products are manufactured safely, on time, to specification, and at optimal cost, while developing the production team and driving Lean and Kaizen initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the Safety and health of production employees are met and perform Safety assessment in line with Parker Policy to achieve high level of safety goals.
• Works on  demand forecasting and relating to production capacity and materials requirements
• Align robust manufacturing processes for each Value streams.
• Leads decision making on what to build, how much to build and when it will be available. 
• Promotes the coordination of communications between Value streams, e.g. flow of materials and backup. 
• Implement Kaizen Programs in Automation of Manufacturing lines to achieve better Productivity.
• Creates mechanisms for flow of information between SCM, Production and Warehouse. 
• Control COPQ and do root cause analysis and take remedial actions.
• Implement Lean principles in Production and do small Kaizen activities to improve Productivity
• Coordinate Outsource activities and track production and quality at sub contract vendors

• Coordinate the manufacturing process from RM to Packing stage 

  Key Accountabilities
• Computing required amounts of labor and materials, manufacturing costs and benefits costs. 
• Achieve planned production as per JDE to meet planned sales targets.
• Monitor Overhead costs due to manufacturing and reduce inefficiencies.
• Develop and improve processes to reduce rejection and scrap to increase profitability.
• Develop a cohesive culture between associates, supervisors and other team members.
• Find out training needs of his subordinates and organize required training to improve efficiency and morale.
• Drive improvements related to production and plant by implementing a robust Kaizen system 

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing/production, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team-lead role. 
• Experience in a high-volume, quality-focused manufacturing environment
• Usage and knowledge of MRP tools.
• Internal audits, IATF16949, SPC, TPM, 5S

• Systematic approach in problem solving and experience in Quality tools is a must
