Raytheon has an immediate need for a Program Operations Manager (POM) for our Upper Tier Missile Defense (UTMD) and Ground Based Surveillance (GBS) sustainment programs in Andover, Massachusetts on the TPY-2 and SRP product lines.
The POM is responsible for communicating all product requirements to the factories and manufacturing sites, including baseline manufacturing schedules and alignment on significant events impacting factory performance. This position reports to the Sustainment Lead and will interface with Program/Product Area team members, Manufacturing team members, Subject Matter Experts, and the Customer.
This opportunity will provide opportunities to grow their skills in operations management, technical operations, business communications and leadership.
What You Will Do
- Plan and lead a team in the design and development of manufacturing processes for products including developing design, selection, specification, and optimization of the required equipment, fixtures, tooling, gaging, processes, and operations.
- Assure costs targets and challenges are understood by manufacturing leadership and factories.
- Assist with strategic manufacturing planning for future production performance and product development efforts.
- Identify and communicate S&OP forecasts to the factories to assist with capital investment requirements, manpower, and facility planning.
- Define clear strategies for manufacturing schedules, priorities and goals to align make/buy/where decisions to appropriate factories.
- Manage support plans and proposals.
- Complete basis of estimates (BOEs).
- Maintain schedules in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- Obtain RTX PM Level 6 Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Obtain Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) certification
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience working in a manufacturing role/industry.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in capital planning, MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level), Make/Buy/Where process.
- Experience in manufacturing tool sets including New Product Introduction Process, Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Root Cause and Corrective Action, and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly
- Experience with transition of products from design to manufacturing.
- EAC (Estimate At Complete) – budgets.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
