Built on a foundation of Respect, Safety, Quality, and Results, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Shipping and Receiving Lead to oversee all incoming and outgoing materials under strict FAA regulations. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while guiding and supporting the Shipping/Receiving team. As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts—including standard day shifts, 2nd shift, weekend shifts, and 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be flexible and willing to be assigned to any shift based on operational needs.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies, controls, segregates and maintains all incoming parts under strict FAA receiving and shipping regulations.
- Ensures that material is verified with invoice or packing sheet.
- Ensures shelf life of materials and load test or calibration limitations of tooling are complied with.
- Leads and coordinates the stage parts for distribution by runners to various work orders and other departments. Provides guidance and training to the Shipping/Receiving clerks.
- Upholds company policies and procedures.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Prepares and reviews all receive and prep shipments for outside sales customers.
- Ensures that all package shipments are done with proper labeling by carrier.
- Maintains familiarity with the Ascent Aviation Services Solutions Inspection Procedures Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintains communication within their area of responsibility, keeping employees informed of day-to-day operation, current performance indicators and future plans and events.
- Actively promotes a “Team Concept” environment with Dignity and Respect for each other.
- Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of aircraft parts, shop supplies, and tooling
- Familiarity with inventory control practices
- Computer skills, including basic knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with ERP systems, such as IFS
- Ability to lead and coordinate team activities
- Valid Drivers License.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English, including following verbal and written instructions.
- Three years of Shipping and Receiving Experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time.
- Requires frequent walking, climbing and lifting, bending, reaching shoulder level, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
- Telephone, fax and copy machine, computer terminal, forklifts, motorized vehicles.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work Location: Telephone, facsimile and copy machine, computer terminal, forklifts, motorized vehicles.
- Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, electrical charges and radar waves, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working around moving machinery
- Protective Equipment Required: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses, breathing equipment
OTHER DUTIES:
- May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.
