We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support the build and integration of electrical systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This role focuses on wire harness fabrication, assembly, and testing, ensuring high-reliability performance in demanding aerospace environments.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in building harnesses to print while working closely with engineering and production teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
&x2022;&x9;Build and assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies to engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
&x2022;&x9;Perform cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and terminating of wires and connectors
&x2022;&x9;Install and route harnesses within UAV structures, ensuring proper strain relief and protection
&x2022;&x9;Interpret wiring diagrams, pinouts, and BOMs
&x2022;&x9;Conduct continuity checks, insulation resistance testing, and functional testing
&x2022;&x9;Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in assemblies and systems
&x2022;&x9;Support prototype builds and low-rate production (LRIP) efforts
&x2022;&x9;Maintain documentation, redlines, and as-built configurations
&x2022;&x9;Ensure compliance with quality standards and workmanship requirements (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620 preferred)
&x2022;&x9;Work collaboratively with engineering to improve designs for manufacturability and reliability
Requirements Required Qualifications
&x2022;&x9;6 months plus of experience in wire harness assembly or electronics technician role
&x2022;&x9;Experience or Certification. (Does not have to be in aircraft)
Proficiency in crimping, soldering, and cable routing techniques
&x2022;&x9;Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and assembly drawings
&x2022;&x9;Experience with mil/aerospace-style connectors (D38999, Micro-D, etc.) preferred
&x2022;&x9;Familiarity with test equipment (multimeter, continuity tester, etc.)
&x2022;&x9;Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred Qualifications
&x2022;&x9;Experience in aerospace, defense, or UAV systems
&x2022;&x9;IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
&x2022;&x9;Experience with environmental considerations (vibration, thermal, EMI shielding)
&x2022;&x9;Ability to support rapid prototyping and iterative development environments
