Description:You will be the Research Scientist for the Signature Integration Team which is responsible for advancing low‑observable capabilities on the F‑35 and F‑22 programs.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Research Scientist you will be responsible for safeguarding RCS integrity, driving measurement and verification processes, and becoming a subject‑matter expert in supportable low observables.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead SLO operations to support production, sustainment, and development requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews of modification documentation, including change requests, IRPs, TCTDs, and LO workbooks.
- Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory, field, depot, flight, and vehicle signature measurements, and communicate results effectively.
- Provide LO technical support for validation and verification of modifications, field‑action requests, and the Low Observable Health Assessment System (LOHAS).
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams to develop integrated technical solutions and manage program risks, including travel as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or another technical degree program.
• Signature measurement utilizing different tier measurement devices, RADAR Cross section test and evaluation background.

Prior military service at multiple levels of fighter aircraft maintenance, logistics, and support preferred.
Familiarity with F-35 and F-22 airframe design and coating materials and methods, aircraft systems and subsystems.
Experience collaborating across multi-disciplined engineering and sustainment teams

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
